The current owner acquired the boat in late 2023 and has since lived aboard full-time until the summer of 2025, enjoying smooth sailing through the Bahamas last season. To prepare for hurricane season and complete bottom work, the boat was hauled out last summer. Significant upgrades have been made under the expert guidance of Mike Carson at 2C's Yacht Outfitters in Charleston, following KBYG standards. Notable enhancements include: - An impressive 800 amp-hour Victron lithium battery bank (12v) with a Lynx smart BMS busbar. - A 3000 watt Multiplus II inverter-charger, paired with new anchor wiring and a 170 amp alternator using an Arco Zeus high-energy regulator. - 1270 watts of new solar panels managed by two Victron charge controllers. The Raymarine electronics package has been upgraded with an Axiom 2 Pro 9 chartplotter, Quantum radar, a new wired masthead wind transducer, a new depth sounder, ITC5 junction, i70s displays, and an Evolution autopilot. All wiring has been refreshed with new SeaTalkNG connections. Inside, enjoy a PuraSan system in the forward head, complete with new plumbing and a toilet (no holding tank). The aft head has also been completely renovated with new plumbing and can be easily set up for fresh or raw water. A Clark pump watermaker capable of producing 7 gallons per hour while drawing only 100 watts keeps you self-sufficient and operates quietly. The boat boasts new precision sails from 2024, while 6 out of 11 through-hulls have been replaced, with 5 original brass seacocks remaining—electrically bonded and easily accessible. It features two poly water tanks and two original stainless steel fuel tanks, along with a new 5hp dinghy motor purchased in 2024. The running rigging was updated in 2023, and the standing rigging was replaced in 2013, with original glassed-in chainplates. The foredeck was replaced by previous owners, and a new Lewmar windlass was installed in 2023, rewired to the lithium bank in 2024. Lastly, the boat is finished with Kiwigrip deck paint and a custom fiberglass hardtop, both installed in 2024 by Sailcraft Service in Oriental, NC. 'Pickle' is truly ready for its next journey!
