The Hunter 38 succeeded the beloved Hunter 386, which concluded its production in May 2004 after a successful seven-year run. Renowned designer and racer Glenn Henderson returned to innovate with a clear vision: to create a boat that combines exceptional comfort for cruising with outstanding performance and ease of handling. The Hunter 38 not only meets but surpasses expectations, earning a top rating of #10! Production began in 2004 and wrapped up in 2010, with around 600 hulls crafted. 'Apogee' is a beautifully maintained and comfortable cruiser, featuring a fin keel and equipped with in-mast furling for the main sail along with a 110% furling jib. She is powered by an upgraded Yanmar engine, boasting 40 hp (up from the standard 29 hp) and has approximately 843 hours of use. The Raymarine electronic package includes radar and chartplotter at both the helm and navigation station, along with an autopilot and instruments for knot, depth, and wind.
