Introducing the 2008 68 Hatteras Convertible 'CAST AWAY' – a luxurious vessel featuring 4 spacious staterooms and 4 heads. Boasting an impressive 21' 6'' beam, the full beam master stateroom and expansive salon provide unmatched comfort. With a draft of 5'4'' and prop pockets housing 8-bladed propellers, this boat is designed for performance. It carries 2100 gallons of diesel and 400 gallons of water. Originally a Maine boat, it was sheltered in a boat house for half of its life until 2018 and has only been fished since 2019. A major refit in 2019 included a fresh paint job, the installation of 2 Seakeeper stabilizers, a redesigned interior, upgraded electronics, a new fighting chair, rocket launcher, and riggers. This model features the latest open bridge design and boasts the lowest original hours currently on the market, with just 2585 hours on the Caterpillar C32 Acerts (1800 hp each) - with an average load factor of 22% and many hours spent idling. It is equipped with twin Onan 27.5 kw generators, new teak cockpit added in 2023, along with new TVs and mattresses. A new low-profile Nautical Structures 2000 lb davit was also added in 2023 (tender not included). The boat features upgraded Garmin electronics and Starlink connectivity, with recently replaced AC compressors and refrigeration. Additional amenities include a bow thruster, watermaker, and ice chipper, all wrapped in a stunning high-gloss cherry wood interior. This vessel has been meticulously maintained by a full-time captain and has only been used privately – never chartered. SERIOUSLY FOR SALE – BRING OFFERS! Easy to view in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
