Introducing the 2001 FARR 395, Ace, a fully-equipped racing vessel that seamlessly transitions into a speedy cruiser. With an impressive record of victories in the Northwest, Ace is primed for the upcoming racing season, featuring a well-maintained sail inventory. The bottom of the boat was recently treated with Baltoplate in 2023, ensuring she's ready for action in 2026. When it's not race day, Ace can be easily configured for cruising. The racing head foil is replaced with a roller furling jib, and the lightweight cooktop is upgraded to a stove/oven combo. Additional cockpit storage boxes enhance seating capacity for relaxation. The owners have diligently maintained Ace, making her appear much newer than her model year. Noteworthy improvements since 2012 include: - 3-blade Max Prop - Wallace diesel heater - Raymarine auto pilot - New head and 11-gallon holding tank - Custom lightweight teak and holly floorboards - Garmin GPS for the chart table - Built-in Blue Smart IP65 battery charger - Raptor deck in the cockpit - Repainted deck and topside - Bottom repainted and burnished with Baltoplate (December 2023) - New running rigging, with original jib sheets still functional - Engine replaced in 2015 with only 1,400 hours - Sail drive replaced in 2022, new bearing seal added in 2024 - New batteries installed in 2022 The extensive sail locker includes primary sails in excellent condition, professionally stored during winter. The exterior skin and balsa core were replaced from the waterline to the centerline, with thorough re-lamination and re-coring, done to Farr International specifications at Waterline Systems. The bottom was then faired and coated with Interprotect 2000 barrier coat. Modifications, including an open transom and wheel, effectively resolved moisture issues faced by other Farr 395s. A recent survey in 2024 confirmed no water issues in the hull, making Ace the only Farr 395 with these modifications and arguably the best of its kind in existence.
