Boat Description

Established in 1946, Egg Harbor Yacht Co. played a crucial role in the post-war boatbuilding surge in southern New Jersey, driven by the popularity of offshore fishing and cruising. Renowned for crafting some of the finest vessels in U.S. maritime history, the Egg Harbor 33 Sedan quickly became a favorite among boating enthusiasts seeking adventure. Launched in 1971, this model marked Egg Harbor's transition to fiberglass construction, featuring a striking profile, elegant lines, and a family-friendly layout that comfortably accommodates four. The design includes a two-stateroom arrangement with a V-berth at the bow and a cozy cabin with over-and-under bunks to starboard, while the head is conveniently located to port. The spacious saloon houses the galley, and later versions offered an alternative galley-down layout with a separate shower stall. The lower helm is positioned to starboard, complemented by a settee and galley to port. The flybridge versions added a dinette for enhanced comfort. Powered by twin Crusader gas inboards, the 33-foot vessel boasts a cruising speed of 17 to 18 mph and a top speed of 25 mph, with a durable modified-vee hull made of solid fiberglass and mahogany deck and superstructure, transitioning to all fiberglass construction in 1978. The Egg Harbor 33 enjoyed a successful production run until 1981, later succeeded by an updated model in 1982 that enhanced cruising capabilities, continuing until 1989. This charming weekender fishing boat features a 32-foot flybridge and underwent a complete refit in 2022, boasting new countertops and cabinets, along with a comfortable two-bedroom, one-bath layout, powered by dual gas V8 engines.
