The Morning Star features a spacious layout with two staterooms and two heads. Recent enhancements include newer prop shafts, couplers, cutlass bearings, and repacked shaft glands. The bottom has been freshly painted with epoxy primer as of 2026. Upgrades also consist of a new Simrad autopilot, two new heads, a holding tank, and hoses, along with a new toilet monitoring system. The hot water heater has an expanded capacity, and a new Blue Seas battery monitor was installed in 2025, complemented by four new AGM house batteries. Solar panels equipped with a Victron connect system have been added, alongside a new VHF/AIS on the flybridge. The bow anchor now boasts a 260' anchor chain, and a new stereo system enhances the flybridge experience. The fuel system has been upgraded with backup Racor filters and electric priming pumps for both engines, and both fuel tanks have undergone recent polishing. Engine oil was tested in 2023.
