Currently docked in Isla Mujeres after a week of fishing (October 2024), the boat is maintained in pristine condition by two full-time mates who ensure everything is clean and operational. With extensive work completed in recent years, this boat is a top contender for anyone seeking a vessel of this size! The house has fresh paint, and the hull was repainted last year. Enjoy new Teak cockpit decking and updated soft goods on the bridge and mezzanine. This beautiful Custom Carolina 53 Sculley is powered by 2014 Cats C-18 engines generating 1150 hp with just over 2,500 hours. It features twin Northern Lights generators (20KW each, with 2015 hours, which will increase as it is actively fished). Recent upgrades include new Garmin electronics from 2020 (8616, 8612, and 8609 in the tower), a Glomex WiFi system, and new antennas. In 2021, numerous enhancements were made, such as hull painting, soda blasting and barrier coating the bottom, refinishing the toe rail, balancing props, and replacing Cutlass bearings and Zinc anodes. The Glendinning Synchronizer was rebuilt, and a new compressor was added for the refrigerated fish box. The vacuum flush head system was also rebuilt, including a new toilet master with fresh water flush. Additional upgrades include a new injection pump for the starboard generator, new circuit boards for the Sub Zero refrigerator and freezer, new underwater lights, new EZ2CY panels, a rebuilt freshwater pump, new bilge pumps, a new cockpit cover, and new bolsters in the tower. Many more enhancements have been made to ensure this boat is in beautiful condition, and recent photos are available!
