Launched in 2012 as Cobia's premier model, the 296 Center Console offers an affordable fishing experience with a spacious deck layout that ensures safe footing from bow to stern. The recessed bow rails extend to the Helm area, while the high freeboard of the Cobia creates an impressively deep and secure Cockpit for its size. A standout feature is the generous step-down Head compartment, accessed from the front, which includes an electric head, two opening ports, a sink, and a hand-held shower as standard. The split forward seating enhances accessibility in the bow area. The Helm seats feature drop-down bolsters, and the dashboard accommodates two large video displays. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the dual 28-gallon recirculating live wells in the transom, two large in-deck fish boxes in the Cockpit floor, a Leaning Post with tackle storage, eight gunnel rod holders, and under-gunnel rod storage. Additional standard features include a fold-out transom seat, Cockpit coaming pads, trim tabs, fresh and raw water washdowns, and pull-up cleats.
