Check out this incredible fishing boat. This is an incredible riding boat, it eats up rough water. This vintage 214CC offers a mid engine design.

The Mer Cruiser is built into the center of the boat with a jackshaft to the stern drive.
Since the engine is mounted in the center of the boat it does not take up and deck space, the entire console lifts forward to expose motor and batteries. The center of gravity is engineered to off the boat extreme balance and hydrodynamics. The bow has an enormous Carolina flair that lays the choppy wave over and keeps the occupants very dry.

This was a project I took on several years ago, I had once drove a boat like this and was incredibly impressed with how it rode.
I was contacted by a relative of the previous owner about the boat. It had been non op for several years due to the owner's health, after he had passed the boat sat in storage. I made the purchase and brought to my shop.

We have pulled the motor and inspected the stringers and determined they were in good shape and did not show any deterioration. with engine out the jackshaft bears had been replaced and inspections of input shaft, exhaust tubes.
We inspected the fuel tanks at that time and did not find and corrosion or issues, since they are above deck, they were not susceptible to laying in water. Oil pan in good shape .
We upgraded exhaust manifold risers, rubber boots , rebuilt carb, new fluids, filter, cap , rotor, thermostat, belts, plugs, plug wires. The outdrive had been replaced with a SEI Alpha One prior to my purchase, we removed U joints looked new, bellows were fine however we replaced the gimbal bearing, U joint, exhaust bellows, gear oil.
Engine and transmission are all in great working condition.
We added a new live bait pump and washdown pump and hoses.

The boat is not complete, still needs some items, I never upgraded the electronics, it had a newer Garmin unit but was not able to locate the head unit when purchased, VHF radio works but needs an Antenna mounted,
I have a live bait tank for swim step but need to be installed, the connection for intake hose is on transom.
I had new cushions made for front of console.
I purchased a Min Kotta Riptide 24V trolling motor with spot lock, and dual bank on board charger but is not installed, TM is seen in pictures on bow but not installed or wired.

I really didn't do anything to trailer, it is a 1994 Trail Rite trailer that was made for the boat, it pulled fine not heating up from bearings, tires are newer but I would do some maintenance before any long hauls and get a spare tire.
