The Capri 22 is designed for effortless and enjoyable performance sailing. It features a factory race rig equipped with a symmetrical spinnaker and all necessary hardware, as well as a roller furling jib and genoa. The updated boom (J boat) includes an internal outhaul and reef, complemented by an adjustable backstay and Harken self-tailing primary winches. The original Dacron mainsail is in reasonable condition, along with a 90% working jib roller furling and a relatively unused 150% genoa. It also comes with a ¾ oz spinnaker and updated halyards for the main, genoa, and spin. On deck, you'll find an upgraded rudder made from high-density solid Catalina direct (standard depth), new gudgeons with bushings, and an updated laminate tiller. The canvas has been refreshed, windows replaced, and additional lights installed for foremast steaming, deck, and masthead. The lifelines have been updated with rebedded stanchions, and the Harken traveler has also been upgraded. An auto tiller with internal wiring and a bracket adds convenience, while the original Signet depth gauge and new cockpit cushions from Catalina direct enhance the experience. Separate tracks for the jib and genoa complete the setup. The boat is on a performance trailer with adjustable bunks that has recently been recovered, and it features updated wiring and lights, plus new 10” tires with a spare included. As the second owner since purchasing it in 1993, this vessel has been shrink-wrapped and stored off-season in Connecticut since 1996 and was in storage from winter 2011 to spring 2019. All service paperwork and updates are available, along with a 2000 5 hp Honda outboard and a barrier coat with bottom paint.
