The 1985 Catalina 36 Tall Rig, named Wave Walker, is currently on the hard in the Upper Chesapeake Bay due to the owner's relocation. Recent spring commissioning has been completed, and a detailed list of items is available upon request. This model is renowned as one of the most successful production cruising sailboats ever created, designed by Frank Butler and launched by Catalina Yachts in 1982. The Catalina 36 quickly set a standard for affordable and comfortable coastal cruising. The Tall Rig variant boasts increased sail area and enhanced performance in light winds, making it a sought-after choice for sailing in Chesapeake Bay. Wave Walker is equipped with a Yanmar 3JH3E diesel engine, presenting an excellent opportunity to own a reliable cruiser at a competitive price. For optimal appearance, we recommend applying varnish or teak oil to the exterior teak.
