The Challenger 38, crafted by renowned designer John G. Alden and molded by Halmatic in Denmark, is a robust blue water yacht with a distinctive masthead yawl design. Known for its solid construction and exceptional handling and righting abilities, Spring Tides is perfect for extended voyages. In 2003, she underwent a comprehensive restoration that involved upgrades to her superstructure, cabin, cockpit, rigging, and fuel tanks. The yacht features aluminum masts, spruce booms, and a mechanical system with a hand crank for lowering or raising the centerboard located in the keel.
