Albemarle 305 Express Fisherman 2000

Since 1978, Albemarle has built a strong reputation among dedicated East Coast anglers, known for their sturdy construction, deep-V Carolina-style hulls, and smooth, dry rides offshore. The FAT SUE, a 2000 Albemarle 305 Express Fisherman, exemplifies this legacy with its solid build, generous beam, and approximately 15,000-pound weight. Equipped with twin 300 hp Caterpillar 3126 diesels boasting around 3,000 hours, she cruises comfortably between 18-22 knots and can reach a top speed of around 30 knots. Her electronics package features a 2025 SIMRAD GPS 12” Eco 3 fishfinder, autopilot, radar, and an ICOM VHF, complemented by SIMRAD controls, a bench seat, and a bimini at the upper helm. The expansive cockpit is a dream for anglers, measuring 11' across with a tuna door, livewell, outriggers, spreader lights, underwater lights, a 4-person liferaft, and ample space for serious fishing. Below deck, FAT SUE offers cozy sleeping accommodations for four, a galley with a refrigerator and GoldStar microwave, as well as an enclosed head and shower. Recent upgrades include a HALO transducer and reconditioned props (2023). With its rugged design, capability, and comprehensive equipment, FAT SUE provides the offshore performance and fishability that Albemarle owners have come to cherish.
