1981/2021 Albemarle 24 Express

She was completely torn down and rebuilt from the keel up. I live near the Hatteras factory and had one of their longtime glass men do the major work and painters from Fountain in Washington do the finish work. The paint is Alexseal Matterhorn white. Engine is a 2017 Suzuki DF300 3 with about 500 hours on it. I hung it when the boat was splashed in 2020. The goal was to make a simple and clean Carolina custom and hopefully it worked. The boat ride exceeded my expatiations with a cruise of around 30mph burning 2.3 - 2.5 gph. WOT is 6000 rpm at 48 mph

All of the wood was removed and replace with divinycell foam for the deck, stringers, windscreen and hatches. The foward bulkhead and cabin stringers were in perfect condition. Below deck is a new 130 gallon fuel tank. Where the previous inboard sat is now a insulated box plumbed to a Whale pump.
