Boat Description

---REASONABLE OFFERS WELCOME--- Designed by the renowned offshore racing expert Bobby Saccenti in 1984, the Apache 41 hull made its mark on the offshore racing scene by clinching the 1985 APBA Class 2 World Championship. This hull is a proven champion in rough waters. Introducing 'TATONKA,' equipped with twin 1100HP 557 cubic inch Sterlings (only 13 hours of use), each featuring dual superchargers and #6 drives (also 13 hours). Owner's Notes: 'I acquired this boat in 2017 from its fourth owner in New Jersey, and it was in 100% original condition! It was time for a makeover. I transported the boat to Michigan, where it underwent a complete overhaul. Everything was stripped down except for the cabin. It boasts new Sterling 1100 engines, velvet transmissions, an alcantara interior, a Fashion Link sound system, JL speakers and a subwoofer, all new gauges, Garmin GPS, a new cockpit cover, rebuilt #6 dry sumps by TNT, along with new bearings, seals, and drive shafts. The boat also features all-new paint, a stainless steel rub rail, and new LED navigation lights. A full mooring cover is included for storage or transport. The paintwork was completed by T;D Custom Painting, rigging by Art Cook Marine, engine work by Sterling Performance, drives serviced by TNT, and interior finishing by Appearance Products. In 2019, I had the drives serviced at TNT, where seals and gear sets were replaced. I removed the cabin interior and installed two bulkheads to prevent bow flexing, addressing a hairline crack along the fairing. All six tires are new, and bearings, seals, rotors, pads, and a hydraulic over electric brake assembly were all supplied by MYCO. In May 2022, I experienced a timing belt failure on the port motor at 230 hours. I removed both motors, transmissions, and drives from the boat. Sterling performed rebuilds, and TNT serviced the drives. I stripped the engine compartment for repainting with epoxy, relocated all six pumps to the bow bulkhead for easier access (four of which were previously inaccessible with the motors installed), and reinstalled everything—except for the interior, as I've converted the boat to a half cabin setup. I still have all the removed panels. Since these upgrades, the boat has been run for a total of 13 hours and has been stored in heated storage since I acquired it. I have receipts for all work done and had the boat surveyed last fall.'
