This impressive 100-foot naval vessel features a robust USA-built steel hull and is fully compliant with the Jones Act. Converted into a custom excursion yacht, it underwent an extensive refit in 2019. The yacht boasts five guest staterooms, each with private heads, along with two well-equipped galleys. Red Cloud, named after the legendary American Indian Chief, is a WWII US Navy vessel that showcases elegant above-water lines reminiscent of a 1900s fantail yacht, complemented by a comfortable deck angle. The original Enterprise DMQ-8 engine produces 1,000 hp at 300 rpm, offering a sound that is as melodic as it is powerful, allowing the ship to cruise at about ten knots while consuming just a gallon per nautical mile. The 49-ton engine is positioned deep within the steel hull, ensuring excellent stability and a smooth ride that passengers appreciate. Commanding the vessel is a breeze from the bridge, equipped with a state-of-the-art Furuno touchscreen featuring chart overlay radar and Class A-AIS information, complete with an autopilot system. Redundant Blackbox JRC radar and charting systems enhance navigational safety. The pilot house includes a six-place settee with eight bronze port lights, which can be transformed into a fifth queen berth through electric actuators, increasing sleeping capacity by 20%. Access to the boat deck is convenient with centerline stairs leading to the main deck, alongside ladders on either side and a staircase at the aft. The main deck features a queen berth forward with an en-suite head, as well as a complete galley to starboard, an enclosed fidley walkway at the center, and a laundry area with beverage cabinets to port. Aft, you'll find a dining space, a cozy fireplace, and an aft mast that defines the main salon, which is adorned with a window hatch and large passenger port lights. There are also doors leading to both the below deck and the quarter deck galley, which serves as a favorite gathering spot for BBQs and entertaining. The focsle cabin can be accessed via a centerline staircase and includes a tub, a fireplace, and two escape routes. A door at the aft leads to the engine room, where to port you’ll find a Scottish boiler, hot water systems, a DC electric board, two Northern Lights 20kW generators, and a hydraulic pump. A third 40kW generator powers the main engine systems. Starboard houses the main engine oil tank, filter, electric oil and fuel transfer pumps, USCG approved MSD, battery banks and inverters, as well as a 12kva isolation transformer and backup rectifier, with four escape routes from the engine space. Through the center door at the aft, you’ll access the port and starboard queen staterooms, each with heads. Further aft is the staircase to the main deck, followed by crew space for three, which also includes another head and sink, along with two escape routes.
