Named after the famed American Indian Chief, Red Cloud is a WWII US Navy vessel that boasts elegant above-water lines reminiscent of a 1900s fantail yacht, complemented by a comfortable deck angle for an enjoyable experience on the water. Powered by the original Enterprise DMQ-8 engine, delivering 1,000 hp at 300 rpm, it offers a unique, melodious sound while cruising at approximately ten knots, consuming around a gallon per nautical mile. The vessel's deep-set 49-ton engine provides exceptional natural stability, ensuring a smooth ride that passengers will appreciate. At the helm, the bridge is equipped with a cutting-edge Furuno touchscreen featuring chart overlay radar and class A-AIS, complete with an autopilot system. The pilot house includes a six-place settee with eight bronze port lights, which can be lowered into a bed via electric actuators, transforming it into a fifth queen berth and boosting sleeping capacity by 20%. To starboard lies a complete galley, while the center walkway leads to a head, laundry facilities, and beverage cabinets on the port side. The aft area showcases a dining space with a fireplace, and the aft mast defines the main salon, which is illuminated by large passenger port lights and a window hatch. Doors from this area lead down to the lower deck and to the quarter deck galley, where BBQ and entertaining become a delightful experience. The focsle cabin is accessible by a centerline staircase and includes a tub, a fireplace, and two escape routes. The engine room can be accessed from a door located aft. On the port side, you'll find essential equipment including a Scottish boiler, hot water system, DC electric board, two Northern Lights 20kW generators, and a hydraulic pump. A third 40kW generator powers the main engine systems. On the starboard side, there's an oil tank, filter, electric oil and fuel transfer pumps, USCG approved MSD, battery banks, inverters, a 12kva isolation transformer, and a backup rectifier, along with four escape routes from the engine space. Towards the aft, the port and starboard queen staterooms each have heads, with stairs leading back to the main deck. Further aft, a crew space for three is available, complete with an additional head and sink, plus two escape routes.
