The V-28, part of the renowned V Series center console fleet, incorporates the innovative Stepped-V Ventilated Tunnel running surface designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design. Owners of the V-28 can choose from a range of powerful engine configurations, including options from Mercury and Yamaha: a single Mercury V10 400hp Verado, twin Mercury V6 225hp 4-strokes, twin Mercury V8 300hp 4-strokes, a single Yamaha V8 450hp, and twin Yamaha I4 200hp. Designed for optimal live well and fishbox capacity, the V-28 features dual in-deck 25-gallon live wells located at the aft casting platform's corners, with the option for an additional 28-gallon live well at the bow. It also includes dual in-deck fishboxes that are conveniently plumbed to a Whale Gulper Pump for hassle-free maintenance. Rod storage is ample on the V-28, offering up to four rod lockers beneath the bow casting deck. The two aft lockers can accommodate three rods each, up to 7 feet long, while the two forward lockers can hold five rods ranging from 6'6" to 7', with each locker adaptable to store one 9-foot fly rod. Recognizing the integral role of trolling motors in modern fishing, the bow casting deck is designed for premier 36V trolling motors from Minn Kota, Power Pole, Rhodan, and Garmin. An optional trolling motor package includes a 60Ah lithium battery to enhance fishing time while reducing weight compared to the traditional three 12V AGM battery setup. Additionally, a dedicated compartment for the lithium battery is conveniently located under the bow casting deck.
