Renowned North Carolina boat brands Albemarle Boats and Spencer Yachts have joined forces to create the remarkable 53-foot Carolina-style sport fisher, the Albemarle 53 Spencer Edition. The design phase is complete, molds have been crafted, and construction is now underway at Albemarle's Edenton facility. This model will stand as the largest in the Albemarle lineup. The inaugural 53 will showcase a Flybridge configuration featuring the iconic Spencer styling and a hull designed for impressive cruising speeds, coupled with the exceptional seakeeping abilities that define both brands. Inside, the open Salon layout offers two L-shaped seating areas complete with tables and a fully equipped Galley with ample appliances and counter space. The layout includes three staterooms and two heads, with the Master Stateroom positioned in the bow and two additional staterooms on either side. On the upper deck, you'll find an island Helm setup, a forward-facing lounge, and bench seating that ensure plenty of space and outstanding visibility from the Bridge. For fishing enthusiasts, the expansive 160-square-foot Cockpit is outfitted with a transom fish box, a transom door, and a Mezzanine design that provides Engine Room access along with customizable molded boxes for storage and refrigeration. Constructed using vacuum-infused vinylester resin with a foam core, the hull promises to be the strongest yet lightest design made by Albemarle. Packed with innovative features, this boat is poised to set new benchmarks in the sportfishing realm, empowering customers to venture further and accomplish more. For power, the first 53 will come equipped with twin MTU 1,600 hp turbo-diesel inboards, but options are available for twin Caterpillar 1,000 hp D12.9 turbo-diesels or twin Caterpillar C18 1,150 hp twin turbo-diesel inboards.
