The highly esteemed New Jersey-based boatbuilding powerhouse, Viking, has solidified its dominance in the mid-size convertible market with their new addition, the Viking 54. This Three-Stateroom, Two-Head Open Bridge yacht sets the standard for engineering, performance, deluxe accommodations, and unparalleled sportfishing capabilities for owner/operators. The 54 boasts Viking's signature design elements, such as the sleek S-shaped sheer, sharply raked stem, double chines, and strategically placed exterior feature lines, making it instantly recognizable as a Viking vessel. The hull is expertly crafted with a composite of fiberglass fabrics and coring, vacuum-infused with vinylester resin for optimal strength and stability. The bulkheads and fuel tanks, custom fit to the shape of the hull, are also infused with resin. Every three inches, the hull-to-deck is through-bolted and fiberglassed for a sturdy bond. Featuring a spacious 154-square-foot Cockpit, the Viking 54 is well-equipped for the most competitive fishing tournaments, with molded non-skid flooring for sure footing and large scuppers to efficiently drain water. The Cockpit, covering boards, and Mezzanine can be finished in teak for both aesthetic appeal and low-maintenance traction. A walk-through transom door with a lift gate makes docking a trophy catch a breeze, and the three-foot reach to the waterline is perfect for quick and easy release fishing. The Cockpit also boasts Viking's signature rounded coamings and toekick for comfortable and steady battles with large fish, as well as flush rod holders, stainless steel hawse pipes, and cleats to keep the space clutter-free. Multiple insulated fish boxes provide ample storage options, including a raised transom box that can double as a live well, and a full-length in-deck fish box on the starboard side. The port side also has two storage compartments, with the forward one offering the option for a live well. The Console is designed with toekick all around for better balance and more walking space, and the top of the module is radiused inboard for extra room. A Viking Flybridge is designed for ultimate convenience and comfort, and this is evident in the Helm and Companion chairs, providing maximum comfort on the long journey to the canyons. Guests can also choose to relax in the lounge seating on the port or starboard side, with forward-facing backrests, or the forward Console seat.
