Cherubini 44 Ketch 1983

'Within the past year, this Cherubini 44 Ketch has undergone a significant refit, complete with a brand new engine, fuel tank, and running gear. The vessel exudes a polished exterior with a fresh coat of varnish and has been thoroughly inspected from bow to stern. Designed with a classic Herreshoff interior, she boasts a convenient 2-stateroom 2-head layout, offering a spacious salon and galley. With a shallow draft of only 4' 10' when the board is up, she is perfect for exploring secluded coves, while her 8' 10' draft with the board down makes her well-suited for open ocean passages. As hull 22 out of 35 built, she showcases the impeccable craftsmanship of Cherubini. This highly sought-after aft cockpit ketch is a dream for offshore sailing, possessing exceptional tracking abilities and the ability to handle rough weather with ease. Her SA/D ratio of nearly 20 demonstrates her powerful rig, while her B/D ratio of 43 indicates a strong and stable boat. Maintained to the highest standards, she is built for long-distance cruising and offers satisfactory speed. Storage is in abundance compared to modern production boats, and her bilge is true, ventilation is efficient, and her fuel and water tank capacity are generous. Sappho is fully equipped for embarking on new and exciting journeys.'
